Delicious food! and smells so good! All the kindest people! I absolutely recommend this place for a great meal!

The Cubano and Reuben with Pastrami on rye are both delicious and two of the best sandwiches in Long Beach. I also recommend their very good macaroni salad with chunks of cheddar. Bacon Mac is good but I prefer the macaroni salad as a side.

Well hello goodness. Found this shop and holy mole we enjoyed delicious hot brisket and cold turkey breast sandwiches. Brisket sandwich... you can taste the bbq flavors and not overpowered by sauce. Turkey sandwich.... generous portions of turkey with ample condiments with add ons available. We split baked beans..... savory and not super sweet. Service... Great. Limited outdoor seating. Alot of to go orders. New place now for us to enjoy!

When I want a real sandwich, I come here. The meat to bread ratio of the 6 way Italian is perfect for me. Loaded with meats. Pastrami is good, French dip is good, the elote side is good. People are great. My go to for sandwiches.

The best combination of an in-house barbeque restaurant combined with a deli serving very good sandwiches...that is Beach City Deli & BBQ. We came just after they opened at 11 am, ready to get some carryout for a casual picnic at Alamitos Bay. We went out of our way because of the reviews for this place, and all the kudos and complements were right on. It is located in a small strip mall near major roads and businesses, with one row of valuable parking in front. The front row spots had been designated for the businesses that it fronted, with the back row spots open but fully occupied...I imagine parking could be a problem. It is a small location, with a couple of small tables outside and a waiting area inside...it is primarily a carry out place. Being honest, there were a ton of choices for us but didn't want leftovers this time, so decided to go with one item from the BBQ Menu (1 meat plate for $18) and one from the deli menu (8" cubano for $12). After ordering and paying, we waited for about 15 minutes for the to-go meal. The food was really, really good, and not just because we ate it at the beach. Value was excellent too. One Meat plate consisted of 1/2 pound of very thinly slice beef brisket, choice of two sides, and 2 Hawaiian rolls. The brisket reminded me of the very thinly sliced brisket given at Korean BBQ places or Shabu-shabu places to self cook tableside, but as locally smoked bbq, which I've never had in this way (vs the typical chopped or hand sliced). Super curious how they slice it, if they have to first chill it after cooking, then reheat. It had been lightly tossed in our choice of hot BBQ (not very)...and you could smell (and taste) the smokiness coming from the preparation. My wife absolutely devoured both rolls, stuffed with this brisket. It also came with two side choices: I really appreciated the size of these...both sides were a full 1/4 pound, coming in a deli container. The size is very shareable, and dwarfs the small ramekin sides given at most other BBQ restaurants. We got the baked beans (OK) and the bacon mac'n'cheese (very thick using cavatappi noodles, very thick roux and cheese sauce, with a lot of bacon). Definitely filling. Another huge hit for me was the Cuban sandwich. It's the classic creation, nothing revolutionary (they don't use the bbq pork meat here), but executed perfectly. It had been firmly pressed in a sandwich maker, giving the continuous meld of the ingredients to the bread that this sandwich requires. It was such a great sandwich (infinitely better than Portos), and was a generous portion. So many other things we want to try on their menu (on both the sandwhich and BBQ sides), and that includes the sides as well!

This place is fire !! Low-key little sleeper sandwich shop located in a strip mall that you would probably pass by not even notice it. Honestly, I've been coming here for years because their menus a little different than your average sandwich place and they have lots to choose from Everything that I've tried here has been really good, but my favorites are the tor-pedro sandwich which is loaded with meat and made the way of torpedo should be. Now I'm a big fan of smoked meat and I'm telling you they're pastrami is one of the best I've ever had, it's a no-frills sandwich, meat , good bread and thats all it needs .. my other faves is the brisket the tri-tip and my wife's vegetarian and she loves a veggie sandwich. The owners/sandwich makers are cool people and super friendly. They bang out orders as fast as they can but be prepared for a little wait as they get busy at times . If you're looking for something different than those chain sandwich shops ,look no further and stop by and grab yourself a sandwich ..

If your reading this then this is your sign to stop by Beach City Deli & BBQ! This local establishment is a literal hidden gem tucked away near the traffic circle here in Long Beach. I've been in search of a good bbq sandwich and as I saw they serve brisket sandwiches I was immediately sold and decided to stop by today. I conveniently placed a phone order and was told my order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. Upon entering the deli I was hit with the sweet aroma of smoked meats so I knew I was in for a treat. I ordered the BBQ Spicy Brisket Sandwich which only comes with meat and the spicy bbq sauce however you can order produce on your sandwiches at no extra charge. They have regular bbq sauce however the spicy bbq sauce was perfect as it was; not spicy at all but just super flavorful! My brisket sandwich honestly blew my mind, I can confidently say that this is the closest to Texas BBQ that I've had out here in Cali. The meat was smokey, flavorful, and just delicious! Now the Bacon Mac & Cheese... Goodness! I'm very selective when it comes to Mac & Cheese and this Bacon Mac & Cheese is pure goodness! I'd literally come here for the Bacon Mac alone, this is definitely one of the best mac & cheese I've had. To anyone stopping by the Bacon Mac is a must try!! Beach City Deli & BBQ has gained a loyal costumer and I recommend this hidden gem to anyone in the area! Support your local businesses!

Ambiance: small deli style food place, good for lunch and quick bites Service: very friendly and provided useful suggestions Food: variety choices for cold and hot sandwiches and meat selections Pastrami - **** House-cured and slow-smoked to juicy perfection, sliced and served on signature roll with mustard and pickle, the meat was so flavorful and tender, recommend Price: reasonable prices and moderate portions, about $15~$20 for a fulfilling meal

Omg! I'm ashamed of myself for never eating here before. All that time I could have been here weekly, wasted! Guess I have a lot to make up for! Was in the mood for some sandwiches. I usually go to jersey mikes but wanted to try out a little locally owned place. Also noticed their big award that says it was one of yelps top places to eat in 2022. On their Yelp page I also read their write up about the owners. And how they smoke their own meats, use family recipes, do catering, are happy to make custom orders and they seem to really care about the quality of their food and happy customers. I can see why this place has such a good rating. You can really tell the owners have put their heart and soul into this place They have a large private parking lot, but it was packed when I got there. (I have a handicap placard And even all those spots were filled up) As soon as I walked in I was so overwhelmed by all the amazing options and the delicious smell. I had a bunch of questions on what the staff here suggested We got 2 large sandwiches. The pastrami with cheese, pickles and mustard. And the brisket which we added Mayo and cheese. It came with a vinegar based sauce. Not quite NC style, more like vinegar with texas bbq sauce. We said no thank you and asked for Mayo instead. The guy that took our order was nice enough to bring it out to us in containers on the side so we could try it still. It was really good The meat had a delicious Smokey taste, but not overpowering at all They offer a really nice selection of deli sides. There was so many to pick from. But we got the small pasta salad and the small Mac and cheese (they were out of potato salad) they also have a selection of chips and drinks for sale. It did take a while for our sandwiches to be made since they are so fresh and made to order. But as my granny always said, you can't rush perfection!! He told us it would be about 15 minutes. It all came out in 10 to be exact The price did quickly add up. The total came to around 40 dollars (with a coupon and not including tip) while checking out their menu online before coming here I noticed they had a sign up reward program. For signing up I got 10 percent off. So I strongly suggest doing that!! Because even though with the sides, the prices of the sandwiches were pricy in my opinion. But worth it. Especially since they do put a good amount of meat on them They have a couple tables outside. This is definitely more of a to go place. Would love it if they had a larger indoor dining area. Overall 10/10 I'm going to start coming here all the time. Thank you again to the friendly staff who helped me with all their great suggestions
